What to Expect
Profile: Our congregation includes people of all ages and backgrounds. Sunday morning attendance is about 80-100 people. Dress trends toward business-casual though you can find anything from jeans to suits. People are friendly and you will be warmly welcomed.
Beginning: On Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:30 am we come together for our Sunday school classes, in which we learn about God, His Word, and its application to all areas of life. We have classes for all ages. Between Sunday school and the worship service there is a brief time for a “cup of grace” in the church foyer – a time for coffee, fellowship, and perhaps a pastry or other goodie.
Worship Service: We begin our morning service at 10:45am. There is a nursery for children up to 3 years of age and most Sundays we have children’s church for children aged 4 through 1st grade. We recognize that some families prefer to worship God together as a family and it is fine if children remain in the sanctuary with their parents.
Body of Service: During our service, we sing several songs, offer prayers of praise and confession to God, give our offerings and tithes, and hear God’s Word proclaimed.
Music: The music we sing at Grace Fellowship Church is a blend of old and new. We love the doctrinally rich hymns from earlier centuries and we find blessing in the newer choruses as well.
Sermons: At Grace Fellowship Church, we recognize the inspiration and authority of the Bible, which is God’s Word. Preaching, therefore, is generally expositional, meaning that it seeks to “expose” the meaning and application of that text through careful exegesis of that text. The Pastor therefore brings a relevant message from God’s Word that helps us understand what the passage means and how it applies to our lives. Sermons usually last around forty-five minutes.
Post Sermon: On the first Sunday of each month we observe the Lord’s Supper. The worship service ends with a benediction or final song of praise. A typical service is finished by 12:00 pm. However, some people like to remain longer for fellowship immediately after the service.
